Review of Catalan cinema

On Saturday the 25th, the second edition of the Mostra Talents Emergents del Cinema Català, organized by the Associació Catalans in Rome with the collaboration of Films en Off, was successfully held. The inauguration of the association’s new headquarters took place with a presentation by Amanda and Marcel Buisan at half past seven. The audience at the Associazione Culturale Settimo Continente enjoyed four short films representative of the diversity of Catalan cinema, selected to participate in La Mercantil en Off Fil Film Festival.

Followed by a lecture by Alessia Rotondo, film writer. The use of artificial intelligence in automatic translations of subtitles was also addressed.

In short, the evening was a success. The second edition met expectations and it is expected to continue with more Catalan cinema nights in Rome next year.
